Aback is a record label founded by Marc Deschenaux in 1998, when he was President and CEO of CD World Corporation, producer, and distributor of the Music Point, a jukebox that allowed users to select a compilation of songs they liked and record a compact disc within 3 minutes. The idea was to propose a new way of distribution of songs by track, offering a more personalized music experience for listeners. This innovative approach allowed users to bypass the traditional album format and create their own customized compilations, revolutionizing how music was consumed. By giving music enthusiasts the freedom to choose specific tracks, Aback Records sought to democratize access to music and embrace the evolving digital landscape of the late 1990s.
